Police investigate robbery of Bank of America in Virginia Beach

Police say on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, an armed suspect walked into the Bank of America located at 4616 Virginia Beach Boulevard,  jumped over the counter and demanded money. 

They say the suspect got the money and left in a vehicle. He was last seen westbound on Virginia Beach Boulevard.  

Police say no one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7, medium build.  They say he was wearing brown pants, a short sleeve white T-shirt with a dark colored long sleeve underneath, dark colored baseball hat, a white handkerchief and dark shoes possibly boots. 

The vehicle, described as a white Chevrolet pick-up truck, was found a short distance from the bank. 

The vehicle had previously been reported stolen from Norfolk.
