Things will be a little different when you try to get onto Naval Station Norfolk.
Starting today, all military IDs will be scanned when you go through the gates.
The naval station is testing the new scanning program until the end of October. You will be allowed on base following current procedures - however, if the scan indicates a problem, you will be informed so you can then fix it. Eventually, that scan will allow or deny access to the base.
