Today, the State Fair of Virginia will begin its 10-day run.
This is a first for the new owners of the annual agricultural attraction at the Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.
Earlier this year, it was unclear if the century-old tradition would continue after the former operators declared bankruptcy.
Besides the agricultural exihibits, there will be rides and concerts. Tickets for adults are $21.
