Phoebus head coach Stan Sexton is out. Hampton City Schools released a two-sentence statement saying defensive coordinator Jeremy Blunt will take over as acting head coach of the Phantoms.
When reached by phone on why Sexton was dismissed, Hampton City Schools stated they could not comment on personnel matters.
Sexton has led the Phantoms to three consecutive state titles.
