A Newport News teen has been charged with making a false report of being raped.
The 15-year-old girl reported being raped last week off Old Oyster Point Road.
Police say the teen made up the story to hide her sexual activity from her parents so she could get the morning after pill.
On top of the charges of filing a false report, police are asking to be reimbursed for the $1,200 rape kit used in their investigation.
