A Portsmouth man was found guilty of shooting three people in a fight in Virginia Beach in May of last year.

Lester Belmar was working as a security guard at a night club called Hanger Nine.

A group of people who had been at the club got into a fight at a nearby 7-Eleven on Lynnhaven Parkway.

Multiple shots were fired, two people were hurt,  and 20-year-old Darrel Spencer was killed.

Belmar's attorney argued his client was shooting in self-defense.

Belmar will be sentenced on charges of second degree murder,  malicious wounding and firearms charges in January.

He could spend up to 68 years in prison.
