Tornado
Today in Newport News, Jefferson lab will test its tornado warning siren.
The test will happen at 10:30 a.m. this morning at the lab, located just off of Jefferson Avenue.
The sirens can be heard up to a mile and a half away. Today’s test could last anywhere from thirty seconds to three minutes.
