An ambulance had to be towed away after police say it somehow flipped on its side.
It happened around 5 p.m. Sunday night near the Sentara Careplex Hospital on Coliseum Drive.
Witnesses say the ambulance may have been hit by a car.
Police have not said what caused the crash or if anyone was hurt.
