Hampton, Va. – A Hampton man has been arrested and charged with robbing the Gloria Beauty Store on East Pembroke Avenue and assaulting a clerk.
Police say 44-year-old Marcus Antonio Pearson entered the store on Wednesday and began concealing items in his waistband.
When confronted, Pearson allegedly assaulted the clerk and left in a car heading towards Old Buckroe Road.
Pearson has been charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Assault and Battery.
He is currently in the Hampton City Jail.
