Norfolk man charged with arson after domestic dispute

Police say 22-year-old Kristopher Alexander has been charged with arson and domestic assault after they say he confessed to the crime during an interview. 

Crews responded to reports about a fire on Monday October 16, 2012, in the 2400 block of Azalea Garden Road.

When they arrived, they found several personal items were set on fire inside one of the units including clothing. They say this came after a domestic dispute. 

Police say Alexander initially left the scene and returned when units were still there. 

He was later arrested after fire crews conducted an investigation on the scene. 

During the interview, officials say he confessed to the arson.
