Officials continue to investigate.

Hampton, Va--Fire crews in Hampton are on the scene in the 50 block of Hampshire Glen Parkway for a hazardous material incident. Calls came in at around 7:10 p.m.

Police say homeowners reported a substance mixed in their mail.

Two adults in the house complained of sickness and they are now quarantined in their home.

Two adults and three children were in the house.

The two adults had to shower to self decontaminate. A responding officer was also decontaminated as well.

He is being held at the scene but has not reported feeling sick.

Crews have isolated the postal worker and he and his vehicle are being held until they can find out what the substance is.

The postal inspector from Richmond is investigating.
