Norfolk battled flames at a home in the 3700 block of Peterson Street on Thursday afternoon.
All occupants were out of the home at the time of the fire and the house sustained heavy fire damage to the rear and second floor.
About 30 firefighters responded to the scene.
Crews say there were no injuries reported and they are now in the process of overhauling.
Officials are still investigating.
