Trial continued for Chesapeake teacher accused of assaulting student

A Chesapeake teacher accused of assaulting a student and forcing her to make Islamic hand signs in the classroom will have to wait even longer for her day in court.

A judge continued the trial since prosecutors' subpoenas didn't go out in time and several witnesses couldn't make the court date.

Harris' family hoped her name could be cleared today and she'd head back to work.

Harris has been on suspension without pay from Chesapeake schools since October.
