Come out and make cards for our troops to support the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign!

For the 5th year, NewsChannel 3 is partnering with the American Red Cross to mail cards to our troops around the world.

Last year we collected 12,000 cards for our troops.

During our last big card signing event two weekends ago, people took action to sign 836 cards at the Light Up the Town Parade.

Dea King with the Red Cross says so far, we have collected more than 8,500 cards this campaign.

Upcoming card signing events:

1. Holiday Parade at the Beach

Location: Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Date: Saturday, Dec. 1

Time: 4-6:30PM

The Red Cross tent will be next to the judges’ platform at 25th Street.
