Newport News, Va. - The Virginia Living Museum in Newport News will reopen on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
The exhibits on the lower level have been closed since a flash flood hit in August.
Clean-up efforts were taken right after the flood.
Officials say the museum has taken steps to help protect it from flooding in the future.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
