Governor Bob McDonnell says the state has made a financial deal to move a 1.4 billion dollar project forward to build a four-lane, divided highway from Suffolk to Petersburg.
The new route 460 would run parallel to the existing 460.
The only difference is the new route will cost you 7 cents a mile to use.
Today's announcement is just another step in the process giving officials permission to move forward with designing the route.
