Cat tries to smuggle drills and a cellphone into prison

He’s accused of helping some Brazilian inmates with their plans to bust out of jail.

But he probably won’t have too much trouble with the law.

Authorities in Brazil say they busted a wayward cat roaming the jail with saws and drills strapped to its body.

Ingenious convicts at Alagoas jail evidently trained the cat to deliver mobile phones and tools they needed to tunnel out of the building.

Authorities say each of the jail’s 263 inmates are suspects in the smuggling attempt.

But prison officials acknowledge it will be hard to know who’s really responsible, since their four-legged accomplice isn’t talking.
