It was another night at the Oceanfront in Virginia Beach for 24-year-old Divon Tyrek Beckwith-Hall, but this time, a devastating end.

He was shot and killed by two men in the 19th Street Municipal Parking Lot on Pacific Avenue.

His cousins, who helped raise him, say that dealing with his death is one of the hardest things they’ve ever had to do.

“I can’t even with this on the gentlemen… I can’t even call them gentlemen… The guys who did it. I can’t even with that on them,” said Beckwith-Hall’s cousins, Powell and Jewel Hall.

Police say it was at about 1:30 early Sunday morning after a dispute with two Hampton men.

Alonzo Eddie Phelps and Damian Lamar Dennis both being accused of killing Beckwith-Hall.

“He never, ever, ever came home with a fight or anything like that. Nothing. He’s never even broken a window,” his cousins said.

His cousins also added that he had plans to come over the next day.

And he was supposed to get married next month to his high school sweetheart.

“She’s really upset. She hates to think about it, just as well as his mother. I don’t think it really sunk in yet, but they’re holding each other up.

Both suspects are being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bnd.
