Officials say on Monday at around 11:57 a.m., the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office received a call about trespassers who were allegedly on Mary Hung Road.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found three people in the act of stealing a car they say.
Charles Wellington, 47, of Franklin; Melvina Cross, 38, of Courtland and Alvin Spruill, 23, of Franklin were all arrested and charged with trespassing and grand larceny.
They have all been released on bond.
