Virginia Beach, Va. – A trip to put air in his tires turned into a million-dollar decision for one Beach man.
According to a press release, Dwayne Lowry stopped at the Happy Shopper on 209 Mallory Street in Hampton and asked for change for the air machine. He saw a Powerball ticket near the terminal that had been printed but no one purchased it, so he did!
The ticket matched the first five numbers in the Jan. 30 Powerball drawing for $1 million!
Lowry is retired from the U.S. Navy and is now training to be a firefighter.
