Newport News, Va. - A former Newport News orchestra teacher has been indicted on sexual assault charges.
Most recently, John Lenwell worked at Dozier Middle School and Passage Middle School in Newport News.
He was charged last August and was suspended without pay shortly after.
According to The Daily Press, earlier this week, a grand jury indicted him for sexually assaulting a former student. Another man claims Lenwell also assaulted him in his home.
Lenwell is expected back in court on March 3, 2013.
