A bill impacting kids’ sports programs is moving forward.
The bill is sponsored by Senator Ralph Northam and it would require youth sports programs using public school property to have established procedures to identify and handle concussions.
Virginia’s Public Schools are already required to have concussion policies, but the other sports programs that use the facilities aren't required to.
The bill already passed in the senate.
