According to Dominion Power, there was a significant power outage in Norfolk that affected over 5, 000 customers.
They say the outage started at 7:09 p.m.
They say it seemed to have been caused by an equipment failure.
Crews believe there was a problem with a cable at Granby St. and City View.
Many customers were restored by 7:45 pm.
Now about 50 people are still waiting for their services to be turned back on. They say all customers should be restored by 9:50 p.m.
Others may experience outages later on tonight as crews continue to make repairs.
