Two more apparent arsons reported on the Eastern Shore Tuesday night

Accomack County., Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating two more apparent arsons that happened on the Eastern Shore Tuesday night. Over 60 fires have been set on the Eastern Shore since mid-November.

The first call was received at 7:43pm and was located at the 22000 block of Wachapreague Road, in Wachapreague. An abandoned two story residence was completely destroyed, with no injuries being reported.

The second fire occurred at 10:54pm and was located at the 24000 block of Church Road, in Tasley. An abandoned two story home was completely destroyed, with no reported injuries.

State Police investigators say both blazes appear to be arson.

Anyone with information about the arsons is asked to call the Virginia State Police toll-free at 1-800-582-8350 or (757) 424-6820; or call the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office at (757) 787-1131. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information on the Accomack County fires that leads to an arrest and conviction.
