Suffolk, Va. -- A Suffolk mother, Lakesha Lanika Riddick, of Stacy Drive has been arrested on charges of second degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and abuse and neglect of children. This is related to the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Destiny Riddick.
Destiny died on July 17, 2011 when the child ingested suboxone which police say had been kept in a candy dish at the home of her step-grandmother and her boyfriend.
They have already been charged and convicted in the case.
