Spring break camps for kids in Hampton Roads

Spring Break 2013 is coming up for many Hampton Roads families.

Lesleyanne Mulkey from Macaroni Kids Virginia Beach is here today to tell us about Spring Break camps for kids.

Lesleyanne also suggested Macaroni Kids fun camps for the whole family, such as Brick 4 Kidz, Kim’s Hapkido, and Sunshine Smiles A Kids Spa.

Bricks 4 Kidz is a structured program meant for little engineers and architects to be able to build unique creations out of Legos. The first Brick 4 Kidz event is on Thursday, April 4th from 1-2:30 p.m. at Sweet Frog at 2236 General Booth Blvd., Suite 100 Virginia Beach, 23456. Kim’s Hapkido is a Martial Arts program for children full of energy offered April 1st through 5th. There will be martial arts training, games, stretching, kicking, tumbling and tons of fun. The kids will be learning how to focus, discipline and martial arts philosophy. The cost for the week is $150 if registered prior to March 25th and there will be a FREE T-SHIRT included with tuition. Sunshine Smiles A Kids Spa is a day full of pampering for those girly girls ages 5 and up. These spa-tacular Spring Break sessions will last daily from March 25 to April 5 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The program costs $99 each, with a sibling rate of $89 for the second child and $79 for the third child. Each session consists of Ice Cream Delight Spa Mani and Pedi’s, facials, lunch, Healthy Skin Habits discussion and a chance to create their own bath and lip sugar scrubs. Then to top the day off, every participant will get a glitter tattoo and glitter Make-up. For moms looking to do their spring cleaning during Spring Break, Kids Exchange is hosting a bi-annual consignment event to be able to buy, sell, shop and serve gently used items for kids.
