Computer glitch at H & R Block blamed for delay in tax refunds

Posted

If you went to H and R Block to get your taxes done, a computer glitch could be slowing down your tax refund.

H & R Block confirmed there's an issue for some of its customers who filed before February 22nd under the 8863 form claiming student education credits.

The company says it is working with the IRS to fix the problem.

Some families who rely on that check to pay bills are left with few options.

Many have joined a Facebook page called "Club 8863."

Instead of the normal three weeks, the IRS says it will take up to 8 weeks to hand out refunds.

H & R Block claims it won't take that long.
