Newport News, Va. – Police are looking for the suspects responsible for robbing a woman who was shopping at a Newport News Walmart.

Police say the 69-year-old victim was at the Walmart on Jefferson Avenue when she was approached by an unknown female.

The female asked the victim for help finding some items. The victim retrieved her glasses from her purse but left it partially unzipped. That’s when a second suspect walked by and took the victim’s wallet from her purse.

The woman was robbed of cash, credit cards, bank cards, her driver’s license and insurance cards and other personal papers.

Police are asking if anyone recognizes the individuals or know anything about the incident to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
