It began as a sculpture to honor all Navy SEALs.
In the end, it will resemble just one- the reported deadliest sniper in American military history - Chris Kyle.
The sculptor crafted a 400-pound clay statue in the likeness of Kyle; it cost about $85, 000 to make.
And instead of going to the Navy SEAL Foundation it will be donated to Kyle's wife.
The change came after Kyle was killed on a Texas gun range in early February.
Police say the shooter is a former marine whom Kyle had been helping deal with post-traumatic stress.
Kyle has 160 confirmed kills, adding unconfirmed kills could push his total past 250. Which would make him the deadliest sniper in U.S. Military history.
