Newport News, Va. - A shooting investigation is now underway in Newport News.
The shooting happened just after midnight in the city's east end.
Police will only tell NewsChannel 3 that one man was injured near 25th Street and Chestnut.
The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
Police have not made any arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line.
