Three men arrested in connection with Virginia Beach burglaries

Virginia Beach, Va. – Beach police say they’ve nabbed three men who have been involved in more than 16 residential burglaries around the city.

One of the most recent incidents happened on Wednesday at 10:40 a.m. on Lake James Drive. When police arrived on the scene after getting a call about a burglary, police say they actually saw two of the men leaving the house. The men tried to run but they were caught shortly afterward police say. A third man was arrested in Norfolk.

They have been identified as Devon Dontel Thompson, Robert Lee Hamilton, III and Keith Alan Perry. They are all from Norfolk and they’re now behind bars at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.

Thompson and Hamilton are facing charges including burglary, conspiracy, grand larceny and possession of burglarious tools.

Perry has been charged with burglary, conspiracy and grand larceny.

Police say more charges may be pending.
