James City County, Va. - The James City County Police Department has released a new crime mapping app designed to help citizens see what's happening around town.
The app, which includes multiple cities, has dots placed where different crimes are reported that you can click for more information.
The app also has a hotspot option to show areas prone to more crime.
Users can also sign up for neighborhood watch reports that automatically email crime activity.
The app is free but right now it's only available for Apple products by searching for RAIDS Online Mobile app in the App Store.
