On Thursday, there will be a full Senate scheduled debate on a bill giving the state Department of Transportation authority to set speed limits as high as 75 m.p.h. for some North Carolina interstates and other controlled access highways. That’s according to a report from WLOS.com.
The current limit is 70 m.p.h. The bill was filed just last week, and cleared a committee Wednesday, according to the online report.
