Virginia Beach, Va. – Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek will host The Warrior Ride’s adaptive cycling event for combat wounded military personnel, April 18, at 10:10 a.m.
More than 25 riders are scheduled to participate in this year’s event that will have participants riding a course across JEBLCFS.
“The Warrior Ride”, a non-profit organization, is conducting this adaptive cycling event to provide a bicycling experience for combat wounded service members.
The first goal of the event is to provide recreation and rehabilitation to the riders.
Secondary to this mission is to provide awareness to the community, to allow them to see the actual physical costs of war to our military, and to allow citizens an opportunity to say “Thank you”.
