Virginia Beach Public Schools are making changes to elementary report cards for the 2013-14 school year.
Rather than providing letter grades for students, they are moving to a standards-based report card that will allow teachers to share more specific feedback on students’ progression toward skills and understanding in subject areas.
The new standards-based report card format was field tested for two years in four elementary schools: Christopher Farms, Hermitage, Malibu and Pembroke.
