Chesapeake, Va. – A Chesapeake school bus was involved in an accident Tuesday morning, police tell NewsChannel 3.
It happened at 7 a.m. on Western Branch and Churchland Boulevard. Police say the driver of a four-door vehicle ran a red light and hit the school bus.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was issued a summons for disregarding a red traffic signal.
One student was on the school bus at the time, and was not injured. The bus driver was not injured, police say.
