Video ads could be popping up on Facebook as early as June 2013. The social site is reportedly asking upwards of $1 million for each ad.

According to Advertising Age, advertisers would target four key demographics: women over 30, women under 30, men over 30, men under 30.

While Facebook doesn’t have the details finalized just yet, it’s widely assumed the ads will autoplay and will expand across the screen. The ads reportedly will be limited to 15 seconds and users would see no more than three adds a day.

The intention is to peak the interest of advertisers that shell out big cash for TV commercials. Large video players online would get more attention than the traditional right-rail ads that often get overlooked or ignored by Internet users. If Facebook autoplays a large video ad that takes over a user’s screen, they have no choice but to take notice.
