(CNN) — Gwyneth Paltrow may be People magazine’s most beautiful woman in the world, but the actress herself could think of a few other suggestions.
When the topic of her latest honor came up on the red carpet at Wednesday’s premiere of her new movie, “Iron Man 3,” Paltrow replied that “it’s not true, first of all.”
But of course, she also finds being the recipient of such a title “very sweet and flattering and humbling and embarrassing and all that stuff.”
And while she personally feels the most beautiful when she’s at home with her family, lounging in jeans without any makeup on, wearing the Iron Man armor in the latest installment isn’t half-bad, either.
The actress, who portrays Iron Man/Tony Stark’s love interest, Pepper Potts, gets to step into it for the first time in the third film. She was pleased – and so was her 7-year-old son, Moses.
“I have to say it was really great,” Paltrow told CNN. “It was completely novel and out of my wheelhouse, I would have thought. But when I got in the suit, ‘I thought yeah, I should have been rocking this suit all along.’ It was pretty much [Moses’] dream come true, trumped only by the fact that Pepper now has a Lego figure. So I’m in his good book right now.”
As for whether this will be her last go-round playing Pepper Potts to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in a standalone “Iron Man” film, Paltrow’s pretty sure it is.
“I think so,” she told CNN. “They’ve sort of said this is the end for Iron Man. So yeah, I think it probably is.”
Yet her co-star Don Cheadle is more uncertain.
“Who knows? I have no idea,” Cheadle said. “Until this movie comes out and performs or doesn’t perform, I think it’s going to be a lot of seeing how people react and also what’s left to do. Is there anything left to mine in the relationships between these characters? Is there some place to go that isn’t going to get covered in one of these other Marvel movies? If so, then he could return.”
“Iron Man 3,” directed by Shane Black, will arrive in theaters May 3.
