Virginia Beach, Va. - Matt McGloon, a Virginia Beach teen who was beaten, is awake and has stood up on his own for the first time!
Matt's sister Kelsey posted the update on Facebook.
McGloon was in a coma after police say he was beaten with a bat while at a party on Lynnhaven Drive earlier this month.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
On Facebook, Kelsey Mcgloon also says she got to face-time with her brother and he told her he loved her.
It was the first time Kelsey said she'd heard him speak since the beating.
