The Japanese company “CrazyLabo,” teamed up with Kitakyushu National College of Technology and built two robots capable of smelling – one of which looks like a bulldog, and the other shaped like a woman’s head.

The dog robot sniffs your feet and generates one of four responses depending on the odor.

The female head will smell your breath and produce a response, “Good, like citrus,” “Yuck, you have bad breath,” “No way! I can’t stand it!” and “Emergency taking place!”

Both robots use a commercial odor sensor that picks up certain chemicals in exhaled breath or emitted by feet.
