Newport News, Va. – A 25-year-old man was shot during a robbery in Newport News Sunday morning.
The victim was standing on 36th Street near Madison Avenue around 8:30am when he was approached by two other men, according to police.
One of the men pulled out a gun and demanded money from him.
When he told the men that he didn’t have any money, one of the men shot him in the hand. The bullet pierced his hand and went into his leg.
The victim, a 25-year-old Suffolk man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The suspects are described as being 5’11” to 6′ tall.
