Burglars target homes in Suffolk neighborhood

Posted

Suffolk, Va.- Someone is targeting homes on Wellons Street in Suffolk.

Early Monday morning, two were hit while the families inside were asleep.

In both cases, the burglars crept in through a window.

The sound woke one woman up, so she turned on her kitchen lights only to see that someone had crept in through the window. Everything on her ledge was on the sink, and then she looked at the back door, and it was wide open. The man had just run out.

Her dad inspected both in and outside of the house.

The kitchen had been rummaged through as well.

Shoe prints on the ground and side show the trail he took to enter the kitchen.

Nothing was taken, but next door, the burglar had more time. The crook broke in through a window and stole things from her next door neighbor.

Both of the break-in's happened after midnight.

Until whoever did this is caught, one neighbor says sleeping at night will be tough.

She never knows what's on the other side of her windows as she looks out at night.
