Portsmouth, Va.- About 3,700 customers were without power on Thursday night after a tree fell on Bamboo Road in Portsmouth.
Dominion Power says the tree fell and broke a pole and pulled down wires. This happened at around 7 p.m.
They were able to restore all but about 1,000 customers in the area. Those who live in the Townpoint section are still without power.
Crews will be working throughout the night. They expect to have everyone restored by 1 a.m.
