Newport News, Va. - Newport News police arrested two adults for child neglect after finding several bags of marijuana in the home.
Police say they found marijuana, guns and four small children in the home.
Police arrested Josette Richardson and Jermaine Mizell last night.
Cops were called to Ridley Circle for a person with a gun.
But when they got there, they smelled marijuana coming from the air conditioning unit of a home.
They found three toddlers and a five-year -old inside.
Richardson and Mizell face four counts of child neglect.
They also face charges for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Police say the home is less than 1,000 feet from achievable dreams school.
