Women taking over?

and last updated

More women are getting hired for what were typically considered "man jobs" - according to a recent report.

So far this year, 46 percent of jobs in the oil and gas industry went to women, according to new labor statistics.

Many of the jobs are not out on rigs, but in offices as technicians, geologists, or engineers.

Experts predict the trend is due to retiring baby boomers who leave companies they have long worked for.
