(CNN) — The family of Joe Paterno and several members of the Penn State Board of Trustees, faculty, former players and coaches will file a lawsuit Thursday against the NCAA and its top leaders seeking to overturn sanctions against the school.
In July, the NCAA announced sanctions against the university including a $60 million fine as well as a four-year ban from bowl games.
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett already filed an anti-trust lawsuit in January against the NCAA on the grounds that its punishments for the university are “overreaching and unlawful.”
