Portsmouth, Va. - A man got into a fight with his family Thursday night, then barricaded himself inside a home with a gun.
Police say the fight started around 10:30 p.m. at a home on Maurice Avenue and Van Patton Place.
That's just off Portsmouth Boulevard. A tactical team was called to help.
Police say the man was taken into custody just before 1 a.m. Friday morning.
They say he was taken to the hospital for psychiatric treatment. Police say no one was hurt.
