Friday evening’s tornadoes were so fierce that the Weather Channel’s Tornado Hunt vehicle was thrown about 200 yards after the crew was unable to escape from the path of one twister.
“Airbags deployed. All are safe,” wrote the Weather Channel’s Mike Bettes on Twitter after the crash.
