Rash of bomb threats at Suffolk schools leads to several arrests

Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk police have arrested and charged several juveniles after responding to several bomb threats at local schools.

There have been reports of bomb threats at several locations including Lakeland High School, King’s Fork Middle School, and John F. Kennedy Middle School since April 23rd.

The juveniles who are ages 15 and over were charged with threaten to bomb which is a felony. Those teens who were under 15 were charged with a class 1 misdemeanor.

If found guilty, the teens could also be held financially responsible for the cost of emergency responses to these incidents.
