Scientific tests show that ice from several branches of McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Starbucks, Cafe Rouge and Nando’s in Britain had higher levels of bacteria than samples taken from the toilet according to Mail Online.

A few samples even had enough microbes to be considered a hygiene risk.

Experts say this could be caused by dirty ice machines or employees failing to wash their hands.
